What is Pierstop?

Pierstop is a cruise port guide platform that helps passengers make the most of their time ashore. Most cruise tourists have just 4–8 hours before their ship departs. In that short window, they face a barrage of overpriced excursions, tourist traps, and outdated travel advice. Pierstop solves this with comprehensive, interactive map guides that work completely offline.

Each guide covers dozens of places across five categories: restaurants, cafés and bars, sightseeing, walking routes, and off-the-beaten-path spots most tourists never find. All guides work without WiFi or mobile data — open once and explore freely, even in areas with no signal.

We currently cover 31 cruise ports across Norway and the Canary Islands — with the Mediterranean and Caribbean coming next. Guides start at €3 per city, or get the Pier Pass for €5 to unlock all cities at once. We are a Norwegian company based in Stavanger, building a smarter alternative to overpriced ship excursions.
