Our mission
Pierstop is a Norwegian company that creates comprehensive, interactive cruise port guides. We started in Stavanger in 2025 with a simple observation: cruise passengers arriving in Norwegian ports have just 4-8 hours, yet they're met with overpriced ship excursions and generic tourist advice.
We believe cruise passengers deserve better than a €100 bus tour or a generic top-10 list. Every Pierstop guide is a comprehensive, interactive map with restaurants, walks, activities, and practical tips — all designed for the limited hours you have in port.
Over 6 million cruise passengers are expected to visit Norwegian ports in 2025. That's 6 million people arriving in unfamiliar cities with limited time and limited connectivity. Pierstop exists to help every one of them make the most of their time ashore.

Marte LogeFounder & Developer
Marte holds an MSc in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where she specialized in software development and computer security. Her master's thesis on the security of Android lock patterns gained international attention and was presented at Defcon, PasswordsCon, and BSides in Las Vegas.
A full-stack developer by trade, Marte has worked across the Norwegian tech industry — from insurance technology at Gjensidige to banking frontends at Handelsbanken, and most recently building global infrastructure at SafetyWing. She writes code in TypeScript, React, Python, and Kotlin.
Marte founded Pierstop because she saw a gap between what cruise passengers need and what the travel industry provides. Based in Stavanger, she combines her love for Norwegian coastal cities with her technical expertise to build guides that genuinely help travelers explore like locals.
