Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Bukta festival held?
Bukta takes place at Telegrafbukta, a sandy beach on the southern tip of Tromsø island. It is roughly a 15-minute walk south from the city centre along the waterfront path.
How much do Bukta 2026 tickets cost?
Day tickets start from 1,654 NOK (approximately €145). Weekend passes are also available. Tickets are sold through the official Bukta website. They do sell out, so book as early as possible if your ship is in port on July 17 or 18.
Will it really be daylight during Bukta?
Yes. July 17–18 falls squarely inside Tromsø
Can I walk from the Tromsø cruise pier to Bukta?
Cruise ships typically dock at Prostneset pier or Breivika, both north of the city centre. From Prostneset it is roughly a 15-minute walk into town, then another 15–20 minutes south to Telegrafbukta — around 30–35 minutes total on foot. Taxis and the local bus (route 26) are also options.
